Sunday Skill School Programme
A. Rukadi Community Center
Rukadi is a village in Kolhapur District where we started our work by establishing a community center with the name of Sunday Skill School (SSS) in June 2015 for students in Std. 8th on every Sunday. The aim was to provide quality education to the children which is focused on skill development of the diverse aspects of personality. The skills include
B. Ramrao Ingavle High School, Hatkanangale
In this school the Sunday Skill School Programme has been first started from July 2016 when the school requested Vidyoday to start the programme especially for their children. 40 Students from Std. 8th of the school are enrolled in the programme.
Kalam Yatri Dream Home
Our inspiration is former president Dr. Abdul Kalam. He showed us the Dream 2020 that Indian will be developed country. Therefore, we thought to make our little contribution in education to make India a developed country. So we build this center named as Kalam Yatri Dream home. In this home for Knowledge purpose we started one small library containing Biographies, story books, etc. For skills development purpose we have small workshop having many tools for students to make science toys and other projects. For Art propose we have Musical instrument, Painting kits, etc. We also have different poster of good thoughts and feelings that generates good values among our children. Fro physical activities we have indoor and outdoor playing material. From all these opportunities we believe that children will get real education for personality development and they will be next KALAM of India.

- Study skills: With the aim of teaching children How to Learn, we teach them skills such as Listening, Observation, Reading, Writing, revision, etc. that help them to be efficient self-learners. Each skill is taught through different interactive methods such as demonstration, activities, discussions, etc.
- School Curriculum: We also engage in specific topics in the school syllabus based on the demands of children and teach those topics through diverse methods of constructivist learning.
- Field Visit: We take students for visit of various workplaces and organizations such as Banks, Police station, factories, Post Office, Gram Panchayat, etc. to provide them the real experiences of people and institutions working around them for themselves and the community. Resource persons such as Collectors, Advocate, Doctors, Engineers, Writers, Police including cobblers, carpenters, conductors, potter, etc. This gives children to interact with them and collect their first hand experiences about their respective jobs.
- Hasat-Khelat Vigyan (Activity-based Science): Our children engage in diverse science related activities especially Toys from Trash where they make toys out of simple materials of everyday use and discover the science behind the working of the toys following our philosophy and science methodology.
- Be Creative: This session includes activities that provide opportunities to be creative in diverse ways such as drawing, story writing, team work activities, Crafts and 3D model making, etc.
